My background in mathematical modeling is aided by experience with a doctorate in physics, and I like to explore complex systems with the tools of modeling and simulation, algorithm development, and data analysis. I use python and javascript for solving interesting problems and displaying the data in web-based tools. I have also found ways to utilize this engineering system experience to solve other problems in business, including identifying process bottlenecks and implementing automation for tedious or manual processes.
Recently, I have worked on problems in the generative AI space, including fine-tuning local large language models (LLMs), as well as enhancing LLM performance via prompt engineering, vector DB-based Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and Knowledge Graph-enhanced RAG. I am interested in freelancing and entrepreneurial opportunities, and bringing value to customers. I am comfortable with remote work projects, and have been able to collaborate seamlessly within decentralized and geographically dispersed teams. I enjoy challenging problems, and the process of working to overcome obstacles and roadblocks to find unique solutions.
